Lisa Anllo, PhD
I am an experienced couples therapist and expert in clinical sexuality. If you are looking for deeper insight about yourself and longer-lasting results to address relationship issues and sexuality related concerns you may benefit from my approach which places importance on understanding the full context of your emotional distress, including an examination of early attachment experiences and identifying stages of development for both individuals and couples.
Perhaps you have tried other therapies before but have not resolved your issues due to either a lack of specific background in couples dynamics or sexuality, or because the therapist did not take a leadership role in identifying problematic patterns and targeting necessary points of change. My style is appropriately challenging and directive yet empowering for those desiring an opportunity to embrace personal growth.
Over 20 years experience with helping individuals and couples
Throughout my career I have sought specialized training opportunities including advanced post-doctoral training in clinical sexuality as well as on-going continuing education in sex therapy and couples therapy. I am also experienced in addressing sexuality after cancer and in providing expert presentations to professionals as well as the community on sexuality after cancer.
